In less than a week I am heading to Manchester for my 3rd BlogOn conference…and I can’t wait!
The BlogOn team have asked us to introduce ourselves so that we can know something about the other bloggers we’ll meet and hopefully make some friends 🙂
Share a photograph (a recent one so people can recognise you!)
Shameless wedding pic from last month 🙂
What is the best thing about blogging?
I love the chance to write and hopefully reassure other women that picture perfect motherhood isn’t a reality for most of us! I have had some wonderful opportunities for myself and my family, and made some wonderful friends in the blogging community.
What was your dream job when you were growing up?
I wanted to be a teacher.
What is your lucky number?
I used to obsess over numbers and like odd numbers and multiples of 10 but dreaded the number 13.
What is your favourite season?
I like winter if I’m indoors with a roaring fire.
If you had to choose one what would your favourite dish from the Chinese be?
Vegetables in black bean sauce with egg fried rice. And chips, always chips!
What is your useless talent?
Putting my feet behind my head. Or walking on my knees in the lotus position
If you could keep any animal as a pet what would you choose?
I’m a cat person (sorry Ollie!)
Which one meal would you eat forever? (If you had to choose one!)
Garlic bread from Bella Italia (they have a gluten free version). With chips, always chips.
What is the last thing you check before you lock your front door?
That I have my keys!
If you won £50,000 what would be the first thing you would buy?
Perhaps boringly, I would put the money towards a new house.
What is your favourite social media channel?
I love Facebook, just because it was the only social media I had before I became a blogger so it feels more personal to me
Tell us more about your best ever holiday
The last 3 years being with Chris and the children have all been wonderful (York, Isle of Wight and Wales). We do so many things and visit so many places.
Name one cake you rock at baking
Jam sponge pudding is always a hit with the kids (the jam can be substituted for golden syrup) but I love mocha cakes
Which session are you most looking forward to?
Meeting Alex from CBeebies! I mean, the serious task of improving presenting skills on camera.
What is your favourite book ever?
I honestly can’t choose one. I have read the Harry Potter books many times each. Dan Brown’s first books are awesome. Sophie Kinsella can have me in stitches with laughter and tears of sadness within one chapter. Ben Elton is a genius.
Which special event is your favourite? (Halloween, Christmas etc)
I love Christmas because the whole family are together, there is lots of food (rarely chips 🙁 ), great TV and films, and everyone gets presents.
If the internet vanished right now how would you share your message or life story without a blog?
I would bore my children to death 😀
